Serious moments for former Formula 1 driver Alain Prost, who was the victim of a violent home invasion at his villa in Nyon, on the shores of Lake Geneva in Switzerland. According to local reports, a group of burglars broke into the property early Tuesday morning, around 8:30 a.m.

The assailants allegedly assaulted the four-time world champion and forced one of his sons to open a safe. During the attack, Prost reportedly suffered a head injury as a result of the violence. The value of the stolen goods has not been disclosed, but it is believed to be significant.

The family has not issued any official statement, but the incident is said to have had a strong emotional impact, requiring psychological and professional support.

Swiss police immediately launched an investigation, setting up roadblocks and carrying out checks along major escape routes. However, the suspects have not yet been arrested and are believed to have fled across the border into France.

Investigators suspect a highly organized cross-border criminal network, already involved in similar luxury theft cases in the region. Following the attack, Prost reportedly decided to temporarily leave his Nyon residence and return to Dubai, where he spends part of the year.

The public prosecutor’s office in the Canton of Vaud has opened an inquiry. The case comes amid a rise in similar incidents in the Lake Geneva area, often linked to organized gangs targeting high-value collections.
